So I found this photo scrolling throw my old posts on Facebook. This is from my sophomore year(2000-2001) in college at LaGrange College in LaGrange, Georgia. Yes, I was much younger then. I had hair on my head and no beard, and 18 years later that has completely reversed :) I was in the local paper for creating my own computer. I took a Jan term class called "Build Your Own Computer from Scratch, with your Own Scratch". We spent a month ordering parts and then putting our computer together in class. I kept that computer for several years and continued upgrading every single part from the hard drive, ram and eventually the motherboard and processor. I was also playing basketball then so working on a computer was a good way to pass the time since there were not too many students on campus because Jan term was optional then so most students would go home for an entire month before the Spring semester started. I learned a lot during that month and that class is what helped me to decide my major and it really began the start of my career in IT a couple of years later. I'm grateful for that class and also the classes that I'm in now. I feel revitalized and re-energized and I can't wait to see what's in store this Jan Term!
