Mission Accomplished

Well, I did a thing... but I couldn't have done it without the love and support of my family and friends. The support system was awesome!

Today I graduated with my Master's in Education for Instructional Design and Technology. I can't thank my support system enough, especially my wife, Sammye, who held down the home front during the entire time in the program. I spent many nights in the bedroom or man cave, studying and working away on projects while she took care of Brenley. Especially during the summer as well. I was excited and grateful to have my entire family there, including my Mom and my In-Laws. I know my Mom was thinking the same thing that I was, wishing my Dad was here. But, I know that he was smiling down on me during the ceremony, I told him I would finish. 2019 has been quite a challenging year but has ended on a great note with a new job and a new degree. This has been a year of resilience and perseverance. In Hebrews 12:1 it states to " let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us,". Whenever I go for a run outside, I always throw on that bracelet that I got a few years ago from a website. It's a constant reminder to keep going regardless of what's happened or what the stakes are or no matter how tired you are. Now, that I've crossed this finish line, I'm looking forward to the next race that is set for me but first, it's now Sammye's turn. She's been thinking about going back to school to get either a Ph.D. or a Master's in another track. Whatever, she chooses I'll have her back 110%. You're never too old to stop learning. Continue Your Education!
