It's been a while since I've last posted so I just wanted to update you on what's going on. First of all, I survived Jan Term which was a speedy 17-day course with 30 tasks filled with quizzes, assignments and discussion forums. But I can now say, "Momma, I made it!". I'm now starting the spring semester with two new classes and looking forward to getting started. I ordered my book today, in which I had to learn the actual process because being a staff member at the school that I attend, I forget that I'm a student sometimes. It's also been an interesting and troubling month of January. After the Christmas break, I had Jury duty one week, and with much sadness, my father passed away the following week. He has been ill for the past couple of years with several issues such as Dementia and prostate cancer and he steadily declined over the past few months. My family and I find peace in knowing that he's no longer suffering and we enjoyed all of the moments that we were able to share with him. We will miss him greatly! I know that he would want me to finish school and be strong and I plan on doing so. His favorite verse that he would always mention to me is "Walk by faith, not by sight". We will continue walking by faith. With that said be on the lookout for more items posted this month to my portfolio!
